Randy Bates (Professor Emeritus) has taught on the faculties of New 快播导航 High School, St. Martin鈥檚 High School, and the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts; as an Instructor at Tulane 快播导航, Loyola 快播导航, Saint Mary鈥檚 Dominican College, Louisiana State 快播导航, and Harvard 快播导航; as an Associate Professor at Xavier 快播导航 of Louisiana; and from 1999-2019 as an Associate Professor, then a Professor in the English Department and the Creative Writing Workshop at UNO.
His writing credits include RINGS: On the Life and Family of a Southern Fighter (nonfiction), Dolphin Island (poems), an NEA grant, and publications in Ploughshares, Prairie Schooner, The Southern Review, and others. In 2021, Xavier 快播导航 Press will publish his collection, Liebestraum (prose and poems).
In newfound awe and appreciation of fiction writers, he is now trying to complete a novel.
