In a tradition that celebrates school pride, the 첥 is gearing up for Homecoming Week 2021, which starts Monday, Nov. 1.
“The UNO Alumni Association team is thrilled to offer several in-person events for Homecoming Week November 1-6,” said Rachel Massey, associate vice president for external engagement and 첥 events. “We’ve really missed seeing our alumni in person these past 18 months, so we’re planning an extra special celebration this year.”
The festive week features a slate of activities on campus and around the city of New Orleans, culminating Saturday, Nov. 6 with a double-header basketball game and a postgame party featuring the Rebirth Brass Band at Lakefront Arena.
“With a cocktail demo, Jazz at the Sandbar, Distinguished Alumni Gala, reunion event at Faubourg Brewery … there’s truly something for everyone,” Massey said. “We even have a virtual trivia night in conjunction with Student Involvement for those who can’t make the in-person events.”
